Croatia Shadows House

This month's virtual paint out is in Croatia. I found a lot of high-contrast shadow type scenes. I love 'em. This was one of the better ones.

  1. I'm sorry but I'm totally ignorant on this sort of work. Do you color in over the photo or copy from the photo?
However it's done, this is beautiful!

  2. No, I use the photo for reference. Sort of a "virtual" being on site. The colors are a whole different thing. I, for one, am looking for shapes...the shapes being the excuse for my color sense. And thank you. I'm very glad you like it.

  4. You painted that house before, didn't you? I recognize those blinds.

  6. I love it, JJ. I had three rooms worth of cheap Chinese blinds once.

    1. Sylviane---Thank you for the comment and for stopping by.

I am always looking for light and how it plays on shapes. I love it!

BTW, I visited your blog and like very much what I saw. You are the type of painter that inspires me to go paint. I'll be back.
